A puzzle adventure game about depression and overcoming your fears.

Escape loneliness and isolation. Guide Lenin, as he travels eerie domains in search of understanding and acceptance.

Lenin” – derived from Lenine, a Hebrew name that means “calm”.

With touching stories to tell, and imaginative gameplay elements, Lenin – The Lion will surely tug at your heartstrings. Taking place in two separate realms – that of the unwelcoming, dull waking world, and that of four bizzare, ethereal lands – the game tells the story of a day in the life of Lenin – a young albino lion despised by most of his village for his unique appearance.

Thus, the Brazilian developer Lornyon brings us a remarkable story, with incredible characters and a stunning visual style. (9.4/10)
– Marco Antônio, gamerview.com.br

Unable to attain comfort even from his dejected mother, Lenin wakes up in a twisted forest after being attacked by a vicious bully.. thus begins a story that helps players shine a light on comorbid psychological issues and figure out how to cope with them – all done in a rather realistic manner.

A game that brings up so many emotions and has the power to make you revalue a lot in your life. Unmissable.

Lenin – The Lion offers something unique, both in terms of its branching narrative and gameplay mechanics. First of all: you only get one save slot. This ensures that – for the most part – you’ll have to live with whatever decisions you make over the course of the game. Secondly: Lenin uses his backpack as the inventory menu. If you happen to misplace it, not only will Lenin lose access to all the stuff contained therein, he won’t be able to carry any new items you come across – until you help him reclaim the backpack, that is.

Lenin The Lion is fondly reminiscent of Undertale in many ways, but not derivative of it – it has its own story to tell and tells it very well. It’s a beautifully crafted game that tackles real world problems in an intelligent and heartfelt way. A well crafted journey of self acceptance where the demons you battle are your own.

– Calum Fraser, Alpha Beta Gamer

Another notable feature of the game is the discman – nestled safely within the aforementioned backpack, it allows you to listen to any and all of over 30 incredible musical tracks that compliment the game’s world and story brilliantly – provided, of course, that you first find the relevant CDs, scattered and hidden about the game’s world. Hand in hand with its exceptional soundtrack, Lenin – The Lion has a very cute, charming artstyle, that highlights key story moments with beautifully drawn illustrations which help the players find beauty in even the smallest of many memorable scenes and encounters.

This game surpassed all my expectations. I thought it would be simple, but it is full of detail and complexity. It’s really beautiful and poetic. The world the game builds around Lenin during his jorney is really inspirational.
